A Kundalini Retreat in Rishikesh
Seven days of chakra work, mantra and breath to unlock the energy already within you.
The Kundalini Retreat is designed to awaken your hidden energy step by step through different aspects of yoga. This one-week immersive retreat is a sacred blend of asanas, pranayama, mantras and energy-activating meditations, guided by experienced teachers in the Himalayas.
Siddhant School of Yoga teaches Kundalini with classical meditation techniques that work with the chakras systematically. Kundalini retreats can last 5, 7, 10 or 15 days — understanding and practicing Kundalini takes time, so staying longer gives a deeper experience.
Students who want to go further can continue with our 100-, 200-, 300- or 500-hour Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training Courses.
Kundalini Retreat — Quick Facts

“Rising with the sun, awakening energy on the hilltop”

Kundalini Is Your Hidden Energy
Kundalini simply means energy — the most potent, practical system in the yogic path. Taught traditionally in four steps (discover, awaken, balance, then awaken Kundalini itself), this seven-day retreat focuses on step one: discovering and locating your chakras, the foundation every deeper Kundalini practice is built on.
It's a gentle, no-pressure way to experience real chakra work, without committing to a full teacher training — many students continue afterward with our 100-, 200-, 300- or 500-hour Kundalini TTC.

To awaken your Kundalini energy, you must awaken your chakras. There are said to be 114 chakras in the body — out of them, these 7 are the most important:
Muladhara Chakra
Balance your food, sex, sleep and fear.
Swadhisthana Chakra
Enhance your professional and creative qualities.
Manipura Chakra
Strengthen your willpower and committed attitude.
Anahata Chakra
Balance your feelings and emotions.
Vishuddha Chakra
Sharpen your clarity, understanding and communication skills.
Ajna Chakra
Develop your self-commanding power.
Sahasrara Chakra
Connect with pure consciousness and experience deep inner peace.
Together, these practices move you gently through the first stage of the Kundalini path — from simply locating your chakras to actually feeling their effect.
“Kundalini is a secret and sacred word — in practice, it simply means energy: the hidden power already within you, waiting to rise.”

Kundalini Retreat — Frequently Asked Questions
Kundalini retreats here run for 5, 7, 10 or 15 days. Understanding and practicing Kundalini takes time, so staying longer gives a deeper experience — this retreat is 7 days, a solid introduction for most students.
Kundalini is a Sanskrit word whose practical meaning is simply energy — the dormant potential said to rest at the base of the spine. Kundalini yoga works to discover, awaken and balance your chakras as the path toward awakening this energy.
Yes. Siddhant School of Yoga is a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance USA (RYS 200, RYS 300, RYS 500). This particular retreat itself gives a Siddhant School of Yoga completion certificate, not a Yoga Alliance teaching certificate — only our 200-hour, 300-hour and 500-hour Teacher Training Courses lead to an official Yoga Alliance RYT credential.
Anyone with the right attitude toward learning and practicing yoga. Beyond that, we ask that you: be in good physical health, keep an open mind, commit to full attendance, follow a vegetarian diet during the course, avoid alcohol, drugs and smoking, have basic English proficiency, be between 18–60 years old, have had no surgery in the last year, and not bring children along.
Two clear color photocopies of your passport (plus the original for verification), two passport-size photos, and your visa expiry details.
Yes, an Indian Tourist e-Visa is mandatory for foreign nationals. It's also a good idea to arrange travel and health insurance before you depart.
We recommend arriving a day early. You'll check in, rest, then complete your registration form and pay any remaining balance, followed by a short tour of the yoga hall and dining area.
The day begins with a morning Hatha class (8–9 AM) and breakfast, followed by a traditional fire ceremony at 10:30 AM, a group photo and your study materials. At 3 PM there's an orientation covering teachers, syllabus, rules and goals for the retreat.
Two passport-size photos, your phone and charger, a debit card, seasonal and comfortable yoga clothing, comfortable shoes, a travel towel, and a small first-aid kit with any personal medicines. Leave expensive jewelry at home — the school isn't responsible for lost valuables.
The advance/registration deposit is non-refundable. In a genuine emergency, you can postpone to another scheduled batch within the same year by emailing us your reason. Cancellations are accepted by email at no extra charge, but the deposit itself is not refunded.
