Yogic Breathing is the foundation of all pranayama. Here in this breathing, we are learning how to inhale & exhale properly. In this breathing, we intake 5 – 6 time more oxygen/prana than normal breathing.Normally we are doing shallow and irregular breathing, because of this we are suffering from poor digestion, constipation, hypertension, lack of focus, frequent illness & much more mental diseases.By Proper yogic breathing, we are getting much more benefit than we expect such as

“Shat” means ‘six’ (6) “karma” means ‘action’ Shat karma means six types of action or six group of practice for purification. This practice helps for balancing of the physical body, mental body, and pranic body in primary label towards the proper balance. Shat karma helps to balance TRIDOSHA [Vata (wind), Pitta (bile), Kapha (mucus)]. According to Hatha Yoga and Ayurveda “imbalance is illness”. The six type of purification methods as follows

  • Neti – Here we are purifying the nasal passage for proper breathing / smooth breathing.
  • Dhauti – In this technique, we are cleaning the entire alimentary canal from the mouth to anus.
  • Nauli – It is for the abdominal organs
  • Basti – Here we are cleaning & toning the intestine.
  • Kapalbhati – It is the best technique for purifying the frontal region & help to generate energy for higher consciousness.
  • Tratak – It is the best technique for developing the focusing attitude & towards mental purification.

The Sanskrit word “bandha” means ‘lock’. We are practicing “bandha” for opening “sushumna nadi” – the queen of all nidi system. During this practice, we are redirecting our prana flow towards sushumna nadi. There are four bandhas

  • Jalandhar bandha

  • Maha bandha

These all bandhas are really helpful to maintain the tri dosha (vata, pita &kapha) &three basic nature (satwik, rajasik &Tamasik).
